The global superstar will contribute $1 million to organizations providing direct assistance to communities affected by the disaster, Parkwood Entertainment announced Tuesday, Aug. 25.

The powerful 7.4-magnitude quake struck near San José del Palmar, Chocó, on Aug. 10, leaving communities facing significant destruction and triggering humanitarian efforts to assist those impacted.
