Pablo Alborán is putting his health first as he continues recovering from a severe case of pneumonia that has forced the Spanish singer-songwriter to cancel a second performance.
Alborán announced Wednesday, Aug. 26, that he will no longer perform at the Festival de la Luz in Boimorto, Spain, scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 30. The cancellation comes after the artist was also forced to withdraw from a performance in Ciudad Real last week due to his illness.
In a message shared with fans on Instagram, Alborán explained that although his condition is improving, doctors have instructed him to remain on bed rest for several more days.
“Family, I am recovering little by little from pneumonia, but the doctors insist that I continue resting for a few more days,” the Spanish star said.
Alborán acknowledged that his recovery has taken longer than he hoped, but reassured fans that he is moving in the right direction. For now, he said, the priority is being patient and allowing his body the necessary time to fully recover before returning to his demanding schedule.
The singer also apologized to fans affected by the cancellation and thanked them for the messages of support and affection he has received since revealing his health condition.
The setback comes as Alborán continues his Global Tour KM0, an international trek that will eventually bring him back to the United States.
Earlier this week, the singer announced a series of U.S. dates for 2027, beginning Feb. 6 in Miami. The tour will also visit major cities including New York, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles, before wrapping up Feb. 21 in Dallas.
For now, however, Alborán’s focus remains on completing his recovery before returning to the stage at full strength.
The Spanish star has not announced additional cancellations, leaving fans hopeful that the extra rest will allow him to resume his upcoming projects and concerts as planned.
