The Mexican-American star bridges Becky G and Rebbeca on a 17-track project that celebrates identity, freedom and artistic evolution.
Becky G is stepping into a new era — one where she no longer has to choose between the different sides of who she is.
The Mexican-American singer released her fifth studio album, Baraja Bendita, on Friday, Aug. 14, via RCA Records. Across 17 tracks, the project brings together Becky G, the global artist audiences have watched evolve for years, and Rebbeca, the woman behind the stage name.
Featuring previously released songs including “EPA,” “Marathon” and “Patrona,” Baraja Bendita explores duality, self-ownership and the freedom to embrace multiple identities without contradiction.
“It’s about trusting myself enough to stop choosing between different parts of who I am,” Becky G said in a statement. “For so long, people wanted to define me by one thing: one language, one sound, one version of myself.”
Rather than presenting the album as a reinvention, Becky G describes it as an act of acceptance.
“This album isn’t about becoming someone new,” she added. “It’s about fully owning every part of who I’ve always been.”
Beyond One Sound
Baraja Bendita marks another evolution in Becky G’s increasingly diverse catalog.
Her previous albums Esquinas (2023) and Encuentros (2024) leaned heavily into música mexicana, allowing the California-born artist to explore her Mexican roots through a contemporary perspective. This time, she expands the musical universe around her, refusing to be confined to a single genre, language or cultural definition.
At the center of the project is what Becky G has often described as her “200%” identity: 100% American and 100% Mexican.
Instead of treating those identities as competing forces, Baraja Bendita turns them into creative power. The album moves with confidence, evolution and what the singer describes as a new “baddie” energy — a reflection of an artist increasingly comfortable defining herself on her own terms.

That personal dimension gives Baraja Bendita significance beyond its eclectic sound.
Becky G has spent much of her career moving naturally between English and Spanish, pop and Latin music, mainstream American culture and her Mexican heritage. With this album, those worlds are not presented as separate chapters.
