The Queen of Pop gave fans an unexpected preview of her upcoming album Confessions II thanks to superstar DJ Martin Garrix.
Madonna fans received a special treat this weekend when a brand-new track from her highly anticipated album Confessions II made its surprise debut during Martin Garrix’s performance at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Saturday night (June 13).
The song, titled “Bizarre,” was unveiled as part of Garrix’s high-energy set, accompanied by pulsating dance beats and a dazzling pink-and-purple light show that appears to reflect the visual identity of Madonna’s new era. The performance took place during the third and final night of Garrix’s sold-out run at Barclays Center as part of his Americas Tour.
The following day, Garrix shared footage of the moment on Instagram, giving fans around the world a glimpse of the unreleased track.
A New Dance Anthem from Madonna
In the preview, Madonna’s unmistakable voice can be heard singing the infectious hook:
“Who knew love could be so bizarre? Only love could be so bizarre.”
“Bizarre” is set to appear as the tenth track on Confessions II, Madonna’s upcoming 16-song album scheduled for release on July 3.
The song marks the fourth preview from the project following the release of album opener “I Feel So Free,” the Sabrina Carpenter collaboration “Bring Your Love,” and the recently released “Love Sensation.”
The Return of a Dance Music Classic
Confessions II serves as the long-awaited sequel to Madonna’s acclaimed 2005 dance-pop masterpiece Confessions on a Dance Floor. The project reunites the pop icon with legendary producer Stuart Price, whose work helped define the sound of the original album.
The release also represents Madonna’s first full studio album since 2019’s Madame X, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. It is also her first album since returning to Warner Records, signaling a new chapter in her legendary career.
Expanding the Confessions II Universe
The excitement surrounding the album has continued to build in recent weeks. Madonna recently premiered CONFESSIONS II – The Film at the Tribeca Festival in New York City before making it available worldwide on YouTube.
Earlier this month, she also surprised fans with a special Pride Month pop-up performance in Times Square, celebrating the launch of The Square, a new entertainment venue located at Broadway and 47th Street.
With “Bizarre” now generating buzz among fans and dance music lovers alike, anticipation for Confessions II continues to grow. If the preview is any indication, Madonna is once again ready to dominate dance floors worldwide with a fresh collection of electrifying pop anthems.
