Best 2023 Halloween Costumes

From cute cows to Catwoman, here’s how Latin artists are celebrating Halloween.

Halloween falls on a Tuesday this year, but many famosos in the Latin music realm — such as Anitta, Rauw Alejandro, and Danna Paola — took advantage of the spooky weekend to dress up and party.

The Brazilian funk star, for example, wore a sexy black dress with thigh-high boots and wore a bloody, black bridal veil, giving off major wife of Dracula vibes. 

Rauw, on the other hand, wore two costumes in honor of the 1999 action-drama film Fight Club, both channeling the movie’s main character, Tyler Durden, portrayed by Brad Pitt. First, he wore a tropical shirt with a red, leather jacket, and then, a long, fur coat and red sunglasses — two emblematic Tyler outfits in the film. “Rule #1: You Do Not Talk About Fight Club,” he wrote on his second Instagram account, @ElZorro. 

Speaking of movie costumes, Mexican pop star Danna Paola and her boyfriend, Mexican actor Alex Hoyer, matched in black sunglasses and black trench coats to dress up as Neo and Trinity of the Matrix movie, also released in 1999. “Wake up neo… it’s Halloween,” Danna wrote on Instagram, where she also flaunted another costume dressed as Catwoman.

Another Latin music couple who showed their festive spirit over the Halloween weekend were Camilo and Evaluna Montaner. The former kept it simple and only wore large, fuzzy mittens; whereas the latter dressed up as an adorable cow.

Anitta

Wearing black thigh-high boots, a sexy black dress with red glitter and a matching veil, and drenched in fake blood, Anitta dressed up as a bloody vampire bride this halloween. 

Belinda

Any Belinda fan would know that she loves to dress up — and go all out — for the spooky holiday. This year, she dressed as a psycho baby bunny.  

Camilo

Camilo kept it simple. At a Halloween party, all the Colombian singer-songwriter wore were fuzzy bear mittens, hinting that he dressed as a papa bear. 

Christina Aguilera

Xtina never disappoints and this year, she dressed as the iconic Cher. “No one could ever fill the shoes of the great & powerful Cher. The love and respect I have for you is endless,” she expressed on Instagram.

Danna Paola

Danna Paola and her boyfriend, Mexican actor Alex Hoyer, dressed up as Neo and Trinity from Matrix. In another IG post, Danna also showed off her Cat Woman costume. 

Elena Rose

In support of her latest single, “Caracas en el 2000,” Elena Rose celebrated at a Bresh party in Mexico dressed as “Miss Caracas” in a beauty pageant. 

Evaluna

Much like her husband, Camilo, Evaluna Montaner also dressed as an animal for Halloween. The singer and actress, on the other hand, wore a cute cow costume.

Lin-Manuel Miranda

Paying tribute to “the gran maestro for many years of music and inspiration,” Lin-Manuel Miranda dressed up as Juan Luis Guerra in the Bachata Rosa album cover.

Rosalia

Rosalía dressed up as Icelandic singer Björk during the 73rd Academy Awards in 2001, where she wore a peculiar swan dress that she also wore for her Vespertine album cover.
