Carolina Trejos is a Colombian-born journalist and TV Host. She joined People En Español as the host of People VIP in 2016. People En Español is the number one entertainment news magazine for Latinos worldwide. Launched in 2016, People VIP stands as one of the most popular, digitally broadcasted news shows across all of Time Inc’s platforms. People VIP gives a fresh take on breaking celebrity news, exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes first looks, and Hollywood’s hottest stories from the world of hispanic film, television, fashion and interactive media.

As the face of People VIP, Carolina has hosted over 70 episodes that include celebrity news, interviews with A-listers like Oscar de la Hoya, Roselyn Sanchez and Benicio del Toro; as well as fashion, beauty and lifestyle segments, positioning the show as a go-to entertainment show among Latino Americans.

Before moving to New York to join People en Español, Carolina worked as an entertainment news correspondent and segment producer for En La Zona TV on LATV Networks, American Latino TV and LatiNation TV. While living in Los Angeles, she also had the opportunity to gain a range of hosting experience; working as a brand spokesperson, event host, model, actor, and field reporter in the hispanic news market.

Born in Colombia, Carolina was raised in Ecuador for a time before coming to the U.S., where she developed a love for pop culture as a teen in Chicago. Carolina later moved to Miami where she made her debut as an emcee host at events for the Verizon Wireless Latino sponsorship team in 2008 and AT&T’s marketing team in 2010. She collaborated with hispanic media outlets at sponsored concerts, music festivals and entertainment industry events all across the United States for over five years. Carolina’s signature style caught the attention of television producers in Los Angeles who quickly brought her out west to Los Angeles to utilize her talent in the latin television world.

In addition to her hosting duties, Carolina is a tireless supporter of social entrepreneurship and women-empowerment projects including her own, Pinkafe, a community that helps women maximize their potential through media events, balanced lifestyle ideas and self-worth driven workshops. Carolina uses this platform to encourage and inspire the young women that she mentors to.  She has also appeared as judge in shows such as Top Model Latina, a competition that strives to bring out the role model potential in young Latina women.
